Versus Lax.com2...Time for revenge!!!

Game Focus:
TEAM
GROUND BALLS...we need to "Man/Ball" more often...we are
getting beat on too many ground balls

OFFENSE
Move off the ball...cut to goal, pick, v-cut...but keep a
balanced field with at least one person at X and one person on
top of the box

DEFENSE
Slide early and HARD...we need to be calling out slides and
when we don't, goalies need to call out slides.

If we get enough people, I will try to rent a better field.

Orcas vs. Demarest

We WILL HAVE PRACTICE ON SATURDAY MORNING. I AM STILL LOOKING FOR A LOCATION, BUT WE WILL HAVE IT SO PLAN FOR IT ACCORDINGLY.

Offensively:
Slow down the offense, everyone gets a touch before we drive to the cage. This allows everyone to get warmed up and get some confidence throwing and catching. ATTACK - we need to be patient and not force the dodge...we were successfull on our first two goals with quick passing and finding the open man if the dodge wasn't there. MIDDIES - We need more cutting and picking up top. This will create the space to dodge, and keep the defense off balance.

Defensively:
I watched a game after our game the other night. One of the teams was playing incredible defense. It was not that they were individually better than the other team. It was their communication. Each person called "I got slide" and "I got second slide" every time the ball moved. It was amazing. By calling out the slides, they reminded themselves that they have to slide, and let their team know they have the slide and almost as importantly, it let the other team know they were prepared. This communication allowed those slides to come confidently and HARD. Let's work on that tonight.

On The Sidelines:
BE POSITIVE. Talk to eachother and give constructive feedback when people get off the field. If you come off the field together, discuss a strategy to help eachother get a good shot off or double the ball the next time you are on the field.
